One of the days of the FIFPAN festival will be dedicated to children. Pupils from schools in the region will be welcome to attend for an exclusive screening.
Throughout the festival, the latest technology will be used with a fun, interactive educational application from the Apple Store: Jungle Spirit. This will be available on iPads and will enable children and grown-ups to see which animal species are endangered or at risk of extinction all over the world.
FILM AND PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITIONS
A powerful selection of films will be presented for the first edition. The festival will offer a nature show that spans all four corners of the globe.
A total of 15 films and ten photography exhibitions will be competing, in two categories: professional and amateur.
Some of the documentary films will be followed by a talk with the directors and/or members of the team.
An opening gala evening will take place on Wednesday 29 May at Mimizan’s Casino “Le Stelsia” with a reception. This convivial occasion will be an opportunity for the public to meet the film-makers, photographers, and the festival jury.
TALKS AND PRESENTATIONS
Presentations by film directors and/or members of the production teams will be available at which they will talk about their careers and their values, and answer questions from the public.
PHOTO VILLAGE & ASSOCIATION STANDS
Association stands will be set-up during the festival in the Forum hall and under the marquees between the Parnasse Cinema and the Forum: these will be related to themes such as nature, exploration and photography equipment. There will also be drinks and food stands.
